ANTI-Ig D Ref. 4613 Masque standard / Standard mask 2012/06 Anti-Ig D - 2012/06 Masque standard / Standard mask Presentation Mammalian serum anti-human Ig D (delta chains) is a purified immunoglobulin fraction, diluted in NaCl 100 mM and NaN3 15 mM. Traces of other antibodies have been removed by liquid phase adsorption. For in vitro diagnostic use. Immunogen Polyclonal Ig D isolated from a pool of normal human serum and purified to give delta heavy chains. Specificity The antibody reacts in immunofixation with heavy chains with human Ig D, but not with the light chains of human immunoglobulins. The antibody does not react with the heavy chains on human Ig A, Ig G or Ig M. IMPORTANT : Due to the variability of immunoglobulins, a non specific reaction directed against a non Ig D immunoglobulin may appear during immunofixation (very rare case). It is necessary to study the patient’s clinical data and to perform complementary analyses in order to determine the nature of this fraction (artifact or abnormality). Then, for some samples, it may be recommended to dilute the sample and to perform again the analysis in order to characterize the immunoglobulin. Application This antiserum is well-suited for all precipitation techniques. It is specific for the immunofixation procedure with the standard mask. IMPORTANT : Do not use this antiserum with the dynamic mask. Antisera may originate from different animal species. Don’t mix two different antisera vials, even with the same specificity, and ALWAYS change the tip of the pipette when changing antiserum vials. When antiserum exhibits a slight turbidity, leave the antiserum vial at room temperature for a minimum of 10 minutes. This should be sufficient to clear the solution ; however, if turbidity remains, this should not affect in any way the immunological reaction. In case of insoluble precipitates, it is recommended to centrifuge the antiserum for 5 minutes at 3000 rpm. The recommended volumes are : • Immunofixation - HYDRAGEL IF K20* .................................... 25 µL per trough - HYDRAGEL DOUBLE IF K20*..................... 25 µL per trough - HYDRAGEL 1 IF*......................................... HYDRAGEL 2 IF*......................................... HYDRAGEL 4 IF*......................................... HYDRAGEL 9 IF*......................................... • Immunoelectrophoresis 25 µL per trough 25 µL per trough 25 µL per trough 15 µL per trough - HYDRAGEL IEP* ......................................... 35 µL per trough Storage Store the antiserum refrigerated (2 to 8 °C). It is stable until the expiration date indicated on the kit package or antiserum vial labels. NOTE : During transportation, the antiserum can be kept without refrigeration (15 to 30 °C) for 15 days without any adverse effects on performance. (*) SEBIA -2- SEBIA INSTRUCTION SHEET - English
