** Due to siltage draft at this berth has reduced and berthing/unberthing will be on EBB tide.
1. The drafts mentioned above are drafts available alongside the berths and are subject to permissible draft in the channel,
whichever is lower. Kandla is a tidal port and vessel movements to/from outer anchorage (OTB) are carried out only during
favourable tide. The draft forecast and tide time for every quarter is released by Port in advance.
2. Night navigation is not permitted for vessels having LOA more than 200 M and draft more than 11 M. Vessel has to cross sand bar
at outer anchorage to enter the channel and this possible only during favourable tide. Night navigation is subject to availability of
Night pilot and tankers have least priority for dark hour movements. Dry cargo & container vessels have high priority for night
movements.
3. Vessels usually berth Starboard side during high tide and Port side during ebb tide. If a tanker of 213 M is berth at OJ-2 the length
of vessel at OJ-3 shall not exceed 183 M.Vessels berthed during flood tide canunberth only during flood tide, similarly vessels berthed
during ebb tide can unberth only during ebb tide and have to wait at inner anchorage for next flood tide to sail out.
4. For chemical discharge, most suitable berths are OJ-2, OJ-3, and OJ-4 where all grades of chemicals can be discharged.
Phosacid/Ammonia is discharged at IFFCO captive jetty OJ-5. Vegoil cargoes can be discharged at any of the berths from OJ-1 to OJ5
depends on receivers shore terminal. Port will permit max 2 vegoil vessels at a time for cargo operation. Coastal vessels has
priorityfor berthing.
5. FW/Bunker supply is possible through barge alongside berth.
6. This berth is presently decommissioned for repair/maitenance and expected to be re-commissioned by February 2015.
