Kerry with travel Nationwide and Abroad Your tasks • Install and connect HV / MV switch gears as well as transformers in ENERCON turbines • Maintenance of substations, transformers and MV components contained in Wind Energy Convertors • Implementation of protection tests in medium voltage networks of wind farms • Trouble shooting and fault finding in the medium voltage range • Undertake physically demanding labour in completing all tasks relating to the Grid Operations and commissioning of new MV components at wind energy sites all over Ireland and abroad • Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing wind energy sites nationwide • Responsible for various aspects of the electrical and/or mechanical installation/commissioning • Work together with customers and subcontractors on site Your profile • Be qualified as an electrician with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in HV/MV works • Previous experience working on wind farm sites would be an advantage • A valid Safe Pass Card and full, clean driving license • Physically fit and comfortable with heights • High mobility is essential – willingness to move and to travel nationwide and abroad • Can do attitude with the ability to multitask • Have a positive, pro-active approach to working in a team environment along with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills Grid Operations Technicians work in a team which is provided with a company vehicle from the base of Tralee, Co. Kerry, work tools and the appropriate work clothes.
