MAVALANKAR SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP IN BIG BORE EVENTS AT AMU, MHOW FROM 3rd TO 6th JANUARY 2015 Dear Sir/Madam, The XXIV All India G. V. Mavlankar Shooting Championship in Big Bore events will be held at Army Marksmanship Unit, Mhow from 3rd to 6th January 2015 as detailed in the program attached at Appendix “A”. This will be organized by the National Rifle Association of India and conducted by Army Marksmanship Unit. Those competitors who want to participate in these competitions are requested to go through the following instructions carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the above competitions. 1) MATCHES :All the matches will be conducted according to NRAI Match Book 2013. The Match Book is also available on our website www.thenrai.in. 2) ENTRY FORM/ FEE :Few Entry Forms are sent herewith for your use. More can be sent on request. These Entry Forms duly completed along with Entry Fee of Rs. 1000/- per event/shooter with a copy of NRAI Shooter ID card must be sent before 20th December 2014. The Entry Fee should be remitted by Cash/ Money Order or by Bank Draft in favor of THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA. Kindly note that cheques will not be accepted. Late entries, if any, will be accepted with a three times of the normal fee as per rule 6.3 of the NRAI Match Book up to 29th December 2014. Under Rule 6.9 (reproduced below), personnel from Services and Para Military forces are not allowed to take part in Civilian Category matches. Shooters found guilty will be debarred from the shooting competitions for one year. 6.9 In NSCC matches for men and women in rifle and pistol will be conducted in two categories i.e. National Championship and Civilian Championship. Personnel from Services and Para-military forces who are in uniform or on pay roll or international medalist – in open category are allowed to take part only in National Championship matches as well as other matches specifically prescribed for them. Para-military forces exclude State Police and Home Guards. Shooters furnishing wrong information in this regard will be debarred for one year. The competitors cards duly completed will be delivered at NRAIs camp office at Mhow. 3) PARTICIPATION :Participation is open to the competitors of State Rifle Associations/ Units affiliated to NRAI. In case where no State Rifle Association exists, competitors belonging to clubs directly affiliated to NRAI will be allowed to participate. NRAI members must take part though State Rifle Associations/ Units of their native place otherwise their entry will not be accepted. All the State Rifle Associations/ Units will allow the members of NRAI to participate without becoming members of that State/ Club to which he/ she belongs. However, if there is no such Association / Club functioning in their State, they can take part as members of NRAI provided they have paid all their dues towards NRAI. Shooters who failed to maintain the Minimum Qualifying Scores as per Rule 17.6 of NRAI Match Book during previous NSCC will enter in Matches for MQS only and will not be eligible for any Medal/Ranking. Please see Rule 10.7 of NRAI Match Book. No Certificates will be issued to shooters failing to achieve the qualifying scores as per rule 1.4 above during All India G V Mavalankar Shooting Championship. A penalty of Rs. 200/- will be charged if a shooter looses his/her competitor card during the competition and fresh card will only be issued on deposit of penalty. The affiliated Associations/ Clubs/ Units forwarding the Entry Forms of their members are requested to see that their Affiliation Fee is paid up to date. Their Entry Forms will be entertained only after their arrears if any are cleared. IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SHOOTERS TO GET THEMSELVES REGISTERED WITH NRAI AND OBTAIN SHOOTER ID CARD (IF NOT DONE EARLIER). SHOOTERS WITHOUT SHOOTER ID CARD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE. APPLICATION FORM IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE www.thenrai.in THE REGISTRATION FEE IS RS. 150/PLEASE SEND YOUR REGISTRATION FORM THROUGH YOUR STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION/UNIT BEFORE SENDING ENTRY. Entry in respect of those shooters who qualify the XXIV AIGVMSC in Peep Sight event will be accepted for ISSF matches at Mhow with single entry fee. 4) RAIL TRAVEL CONCESSION :Rail Travel concession vouchers can be obtained from NRAI’s office. This will be issued to those competitors who have paid their Entry Fee and have furnished the required information against the relevant column provided in the Entry Form. 5) All participants are required to make their own ACCOMMODATION :arrangements. Good hotel accommodation is available in Mhow. Participants may arrange the same directly. 6) GENERAL :a) All participants are requested to go through the above instructions carefully and ensure strict compliance. b) All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competition.
