UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-LA CROSSE Fall 2015 Second

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-LA CROSSE
Fall 2015 Second Degree Student Admission Information
REGARDING YOUR LETTER
OF ADMISSION
Your admission has been granted based on your
past academic record, and if applicable, any
courses in progress this year. Final admission is
contingent upon:
a) Receipt of a final transcript that includes the grades
from the semester you are currently enrolled.
This official final transcript must be on file in
the Admissions Office by July 1. If you are also
taking summer session courses elsewhere, we must
receive an official transcript with spring grades by
July 1 and we must receive a final official transcript
with summer session grades by August 28.
b)If you have an established grade point average, it is
our expectation that you will maintain this grade
point average. We do review final transcripts to
check grades. Poor academic performance may
result in your admission being rescinded.
As a second degree student, you will
not receive a credit evaluation. You will
need to consult with the Dean’s Office for the
College to which you are assigned (see letter of
admission) to determine which courses you need to
complete to earn your second undergraduate degree.
We recommend that you contact the appropriate
academic assistant to the deans/academic advisors
listed at www.uwlax.edu/Admissions/Admittedsecond-degree-student/. Click on the “Advising &
Registration” tab.
It is important for you to know that certain
undergraduate programs are highly selective
and applicants must meet additional
requirements for entrance into a program.
Your letter of admission does not guarantee
admission into any program of study.
Additionally, students who have graduated from
a regionally accredited institution other than
UW-La Crosse must meet all core, professional,
diversity and major requirements for the second
degree, and earn at least 30 resident credits
beyond the first degree. You will work with the
appropriate academic assistant to the deans/
academic advisors to determine program specific
requirements.
