No. KP/ 73 of 2014/NTP/102014I537661J- WI{EREAS the Govemment of Gujarat by
Govemment Notification, Revenue Department No. GHMi2013i95lM/PFRll02O13l13glL-1, dated the
gftSeptember, 2013 divided the areas
of Vav Taluka into two talukas, namely Vav Taluka and Suigam
Taluka;
AND WHEREAS, the areas ofthe taluka specified in column (4) of the Schedule appended hereto
have been excluded from the existing Vav Taluka and the same have been included in the newly constitlted
Suigam Taluka;

AND WI{EREAS, section 3 of ths Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 provides that there shall be a
Taluka Panchayat for each taluka constituted from time to tirne under the Gujarat Land Revenue Code,

(Bom. V of 1879) and therefore, a taluka panchayat for Suigam Taluka is re[uiied to
be constituted;
NOW, TI{EREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of secrion 264
Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993 (Guj. r8 of 1993), the Government ofdujarat hereby,- '

constitures the Suigam Taluka panchayat:
reduces interimly the number ofmembers ofthe existing Vav Taluka Panchayat
from

to 14;
terminates the Office of the members of the Vav Taluka Panchayar specified in column (2) of the
Schedule appended hereto representing the constituency specified in column (3) falling wiihin the
areas of taluka shown
in column (4) ofthe Vav Taluka PJnchayat, which have been excluded from
the said Taluka panchayat;
