Terms and Conditions
Competition Entry:
1. Information on how to participate in the ADCU Christmas Piggy Competition (“the Promotion”) and the
prize form part of the Promotion terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Participation in this
promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

number LTPS/14/03289 and ACT permit number ACT TP 14/01482.
3. The Promotion Period commences at 12.00PM AEST on Wednesday, 17 December 2014 and expires at
4.00PM AEST on Monday, 22 December 2014 (“the Promotional Period”).
4. The promotion is being conducted in all states and territories of Australia. Employees and their families of
the Promoter, and the Promoter‟s contractors and agents associated with the Promotion are ineligible to
enter.
5. Persons under the age of 18 years are ineligible to enter the Promotion.
6. Entrants must have „liked‟ the ADCU Facebook page to be deemed eligible for the competition.
7. To enter the competition, an Entrant must log on to www.facebook.com.au/adcucommunity and comment
in the comments section of one of the posts about the Christmas piggy bank dated:
a. 17/12/2014
b. 20/12/2014
c. 22/12/2014
The comment must include the Entrant‟s guess of the dollar value of the coins in the Christmas piggy
bank.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of each entry. The Promoter reserves the right to
disqualify any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, or
who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage
does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
9. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
10. Entrants may only submit one (1) guess for consideration.
11. Entries must be received by 4:00PM (AEST) on Monday, 22 December 2014. The time of entry will in
each case be the time the submission is received on www.facebook.com.au/adcucommunity. The
Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions,
network congestion or for any other reason.
12. Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to ask for proof of identity.
14. Privacy Notice: Entry is conditional on providing the requested personal information. By entering this
Promotion, entrants consent to the retention, use and disclosure of entrants‟ personal information by the
Promoter in the following ways:
a. If the entrant is a winning entrant, their name and completed entry may be used for publicity
purposes in any media for an unlimited amount of time without remuneration, compensation
or prior notice to the entrant.
15. For details about who we are and an entrant‟s rights under the privacy laws, please see our Privacy
Policy, which is available from the Promoter at www.adcu.com.au.
The Prize:
1. One (1) major prize winner will receive the total dollar value of the coins in the Christmas piggy bank.
This amount will be credited to their nominated ADCU account.
2. Entrants must be an ADCU member to receive the total dollar value of the coins in the Christmas piggy
bank.
3. If the winner does not have an ADCU account they will be required to open one to collect their winnings.

4. The prize cannot be transferred.

The winning submission will be determined by an ADCU staff member and awarded to the first entrant to
supply the correct answer, being the total value of coins in the Christmas piggy bank.
Should there be no entries received with the correct answer, the prize will be awarded to the next entrant
drawn with the closest guess to the correct answer.
The correct answer will be disclosed by ADCU after the Promotion Period has ended.
The draw will take place at ADCU Head Office, Level 18, 45 Clarence St Sydney, NSW 2000 on Monday
22, December 2014 at 4:00PM AEST.
The winner will be notified within 1 hour of the draw. The winner will be notified of their prize by
Facebook.
Subject to any direction given under relevant State legislation, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at
ADCU Level 18, 45 Clarence St Sydney, NSW 2000 on Monday, 23 March 2015 at 12.00pm (AEST). The
prize will be awarded to the second entry deemed the closest to the correct answer selected by the
Promoter. The winner will be notified by Facebook within 1 hour of the draw.
The promoter‟s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the
competition result.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the
prize and the prize supplier‟s requirements.
In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders
the Promoter‟s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these
terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters,
acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel
the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any directions given
under State Regulation.
ADCU assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation
or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration
of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by
computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes
beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or
integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to
disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and
to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction given under State
Regulation.
