Achmea appoints two members to Supervisory Board

Achmea appoints two members to Supervisory Board
Zeist, 19 December 2014
Effective 1 January 2015, Achmea will appoint Petri Hofsté and Roel Wijmenga as members of the
Supervisory Board (SB). These appointments follow two positions on the SB left vacant by the departure
of Marinus Minderhoud, effective 31 December 2014, and Bé van der Weg earlier this year.
Petri Hofsté (53), member of the Supervisory Board of KAS Bank N.V. and BNG Bank, among others, had
previously worked as Chief Finance and Risk Officer at APG Groep N.V. Prior to these positions, she had
been active at De Nederlandsche Bank as divisional director of Bank Supervision, as the CFO at Royal Bank
of Scotland N.V., head of Finance and deputy CFO at ABN Amro Holding N.V., and as a partner in the audit
practice at KPMG.
Roel Wijmenga (58), chairman of the Philips Pension Fund and supervisor at Bouwinvest, among others,
started his long-term career in the financial sector at the insurance company AMEV, and later worked at
Fortis ASR Verzekeringen where he took a seat on the Executive Board in 2001. In 2003, Wijmenga
became a member of the Executive Board at Interpolis, and in 2005, he joined the Executive Board at
Eureko, currently Achmea. Wijmenga was appointed Chief Financial Officer at ASR Verzekeringen in 2009,
and resigned from this position in 2014.
Hofsté is also joining the Supervisory Board at Achmea Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen N.V. Wijmenga
will also become a member of the Supervisory Board at Achmea Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen N.V.,
and of Achmea Schadeverzekeringen N.V.
Internal and external supervisors have approved these appointments.
At the General Meeting of Shareholders in March 2015, Paul Overmars will resign as a member of the SB.
Further information will be provided about the filling of this vacancy in due course.
