9–25, 2015 • The classic tale of an aging toymaker
and his puppet, Pinocchio, takes on timely issues in
Disney’s MY SON PINOCCHIO. Grammy Awardwinner and master melodist Stephen Schwartz adds
a compelling score of original songs to the beloved
classics “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “I’ve Got
No Strings.”
A Year with Frog and Toad • March 20–
April 4, 2015 • Come celebrate friendship in
glorious song as our heroes, Frog and Toad, hop
through a season of comic adventures with their
animal friends. Nominated for three 2003 Tony
awards, including Best Musical, A YEAR WITH
FROG AND TOAD is adapted from the beloved Frog
and Toad stories by Arnold Lobel.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
May 29–June 7, 2015 • This play is based on
Roald Dahl’s timeless story of Willy Wonka, the
enigmatic candy man who stages a contest in his
quest to find an heir to his candy factory. The play
guarantees to take audiences on a fantasy ride into the
land of pure imagination!

The Woodland Opera House Welcomes
New Executive Director Angela Baltezore
Angela has more than 30 years experience in
education and theater, having taught and directed
theatre in San Diego, Chico, Yuba City, and at
Woodland High School. She has a long history at
the Woodland Opera House, beginning in 1975
when she appeared on stage with the Way Off
Broadway Players as Ruby in “Dames at Sea.” In
1997, Angela developed the WOH Show Biz Kidz summer camp
program. She became the Education Director in 2002 and has
built a comprehensive theatre and dance program that now serves
hundreds of local children.

preservation of our historic theatre and the quality productions
and education program associated with it.”

The Opera House has long been a part of
Woodland’s history... Currently the Opera House runs
a year-round series of plays, musicals, concerts, rentals, and
community events in the 115+ year-old theatre. In addition, the
Education Department holds theatre, music, and dance classes.
The Circle of Friends provides additional support for the wide
range of programming beyond the Main Stage and Theatre for
Families programs at the Woodland Opera House. Individual
and corporate donations help keep the performing arts alive in
