BDA Dyslexia Friendly
Quality Mark
It is widely accepted that dyslexia friendly practice is
good practice for all. Holding the BDA Dyslexia
Friendly Quality Mark is a positive, public statement
that lets learners, parents, staff and stakeholders
know that your school provides a high quality
education for dyslexic pupils.
B.D.A. “Summer School”
This award is issued only to those schools, colleges
and universities that have met its quality standards,
and it is recognised in the UK and internationally. Its
aim is to provide a framework of support and
understanding for centres of learning within which
the dyslexic individual can build on existing skills
and talents as well as developing new ones.
B.D.A. Training is pleased to offer two Summer

These non-residential, accredited programmes
comprise three days (Level 2) or five days (Level 3)
face to face training, followed by the completion and
submission of an assessed workbook.

For Teachers and T.A.s £130 per day
Dyslexia Awareness, Support and Screening
Pre-16 level: £640 (includes £12 reg. fee)
All dyslexic children are different. So which teaching
strategy is going to work with each child? Each of
these three courses examines a different aspect of
literacy: one day on a variety of reading schemes,
one devoted to spelling and another on writing
strategies and study skills. Come to one, two or all
three days to give you the specific tools to teach
your dyslexic pupils literacy.
This programme comprises three days training, plus
an assessed workbook to be completed in your own
time.
