The GM-SCAR-14 is a breakthrough in portable CO2 analysis. Based on 15 years
of research and development by the world-renowned laser spectroscopy group of
the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (INO), Florence, Italy, the GM-SCAR-1 brings radiocarbon analysis within reach to all disciplines. The method employed is saturatedcavity ring-down (SCAR) spectroscopy. The GM-SCAR-14 is based on proven performance with prototypes developed at the INO over the last 5 years. Publications and industry news are provided below. The GM-SCAR-14 will easily fit on your lab bench or field instrument shed. The analyzer is portable, runs on wall
power and can be calibrated easily. The GM-SCAR-1 operates in batch mode by release of pure CO2 into the sample
chamber. The custom software installed on the GM-SCAR-14 calculates pMC and per mil values. Verified specifications will be released in 2015. The GM-SCAR-14 has many new and traditional applications.
