TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
2 Divisions-6 team pool play for each division. Red Division (Upper)White Division (Lower)
TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS: Located in the front lobby of the Burdick Arena.
GAME RULES: We will be playing by North Dakota Amateur Hockey Association Rules. All NDAHA
registered players MUST wear mouth guards and have face masks. NO CHECKING in PeeWee Level.
BIRTH DATES: Any player born prior to July 1, 2001 is ineligible to participate in this tournament.
TEAM JERSEYS: Please bring two sets of jerseys. The team on the left of the bracket will wear light-colored jerseys.
OFFICIALS: All officials are registered and certified with NDAHA.
WARM UPS: Teams will have 8 minutes maximum to warm up before their game. The 8 minutes will start as soon as
the previous game is ended or ice is resurfaced. If games are running late, the warm-up time will be
reduced to 5 minutes.
GAME: All games will be 15 minute stop periods. If there is a 6-goal lead after the second period, or if it
happens any time in the third period, we will play running time. There will be a 2-minute rest between periods
when there is not an ice resurface.
OVERTIMES: After a two-minute rest on the benches, teams will commence with one 5-minute “sudden death”
overtime period. If still tied there will be a shootout.
RESURFACING: The ice will be resurfaced every two periods or as needed. Coaches are responsible for
checking with the maintenance crew to see when the ice will be resurfaced. If there is not
a resurface prior to your game, the warm up will begin as soon as teams are off the ice
from the previous game.
LOCKER ROOMS: Locker rooms will be assigned at Tournament Headquarters and teams are responsible
for cleaning up locker rooms after their game.
TROPHIES: Team trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each division.
PUCKS: Teams must bring their own pucks for warm-ups. Pucks will not be provided.
