Join us for a
weekend-long bridal party!
Awesome prizes are up for grabs!
This year’s Columbus Bride Show presented by Meyers Jewelers
is shaping up to be the most dynamic one yet.
Bring your girlfriends, relatives and, heck, drag your groom along.
This is the best chance you’ll have this year to meet with more than
160 of the area’s top local wedding vendors — including dress
salons, florists, cake bakers, videographers, planners and more —
all under one roof.
And as a bonus, this year’s special guests — Giuliana and Bill
Rancic, presented by Ashley Furniture HomeStore — will take
the stage on Jan. 4 to share relationship advice and tips for your big
day (for a preview, see our Q&A with Giuliana on page 4).
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the fun we have in store:
• Charles Penzone Fashion Show (see details below).
• Demonstrations by experts at the new Classroom Gazebo.
The floral pros from Connells Maple Lee Flowers & Gifts and
cake-baker extraordinaire Jan Kish of la petite fleur will share their
knowledge to help make your wedding the best wedding.
• “Bling Rings” for every bride who comes through the doors.
• Samples galore! Arrive hungry: bakers, caterers and venues will
have bites of their culinary creations for you to taste. In fact, taste cake
samples from all participating vendors and you can enter to win $500
toward your wedding cake from one of them. Just pick up a Cakewalk
entry form when you collect your Bling Ring.
• Photo ops with your friends in the Cinderella Selfie Carriage,
provided by All Occasions Carriage and Pony Rides.
• Drinks at the Bubbles Lounge so you can sip and stroll your
way through all the fun.
•And music from Class Acts Entertainment filling
the air and setting the wedding mood.
The Columbus Bride Show is giving away prizes worth more than
$30,000 — and all you have to do to enter is sign up at the Bridal
Registry kiosks at the show’s entryway. See ColumbusBride.com for
complete rules including alternate methods of entry. Good luck!

An all-new fashion runway
Haven’t said yes to a beautiful dress yet? The Charles Penzone Fashion Show —
taking place two times each day at the Main Stage — will have plenty of suggestions.
This year’s runway show has undergone a total revamp.
Grab your seat
early. These are
shows you won’t
want to miss.
Show coordinator Adrianne Ramstack of Adrianne Elizabeth Events and show stylist
Elizabeth Bean Smith of Wardrobe Therapy determined that to reach its full potential,
the runway show needed buy-in from the best national gown shops and the best local
boutiques alike. Mission accomplished.
Boutiques and businesses on board for this year’s fashion shows include Big Rock Bridal Atelier,
Charles Penzone, Connells Maple Lee Flowers and Gifts, David’s Bridal, La Jeune Mariee
Collection and La Jeune Mariee Maids & Social, Joan’s Bridal Couture, LUXEredux Bridal Boutique,
Men’s Wearhouse, Meyers Jewelers and Wendy’s Bridal.

Bean said the show will be fast-paced, with about 70 high-fashion looks. And the runway will be segmented
into four price levels — from under $750 to more than $3,000 — so every bride will see gowns in her price range.
A processional of bride, groom, mother of the bride, three bridesmaids and a flower girl will follow at the end of each
of the four segments, providing cohesive style inspiration for your big day, whether you’re going for laid-back or all-out
glamour.
“The level of sophistication at all of the price points is fabulous,” Bean said. “This truly is going to be the bridal show
event of the new year. Each future bride will hopefully walk out inspired and ready to style her wedding.”

Giuliana Bill
presented by
Reality television’s most charming couple will take the stage at the
Columbus Bride Show to share relationship advice with Central Ohio couples.
When Giuliana and Bill Rancic wed in 2007, they faced some immediate hurdles not
many couples face: a long-distance relationship, intense work schedules and,
ultimately, making time to film a new television show, “Giuliana and Bill.”
Over the years, they’ve become television’s modern-day golden couple, heading off
challenges with grace and humor. Presented by Ashley Furniture HomeStore,
they’ll be at the Columbus Bride Show on Jan. 4 to share their
relationship insight with soon-to-be-newlyweds.
Here, Giuliana gives us a sneak peek at what she
and Bill have in store for guests of the show.
Q&A
When your show, “Giuliana and Bill,” debuted, it focused on the “everyday”
stresses of newlywed life — moving into a house, discussing family plans,
making long-distance work obligations work. What advice do you
have for newly engaged or recently wed couples?
Bill and I have a technique that really works for us; we call it
“checking in.” What that means is we always make time to check in with
each other every day to talk about positives, negatives, what is going
well, what we can change or work on. Communication is key for
the foundation of a strong marriage, and it is really important to
set the groundwork early on.
You’ve both referred to your show as a positive
depiction of a marriage. To what do you attribute
your relationship’s success?
We try to stay grounded and focus on the foundation
of our relationship. Fame and television shows may
come and go, but we want our marriage to last forever —
which is why we always put our relationship first.
As for your own wedding, what were the
highlights? What did you wear?
Bill and I got married in Capri, Italy, which is a very special
place for me because I was born in Italy and was raised there
until I was six years old. I have very deep Italian roots and, of
course, Capri is the most beautiful place in the world to me so it
was incredible to get married with such a breathtaking backdrop.
I wore a strapless, full skirt Monique Lhuillier gown that was classic and
timeless, and I had my hair in an updo. Bill wore a classic black tux.
What was the most priceless piece of advice
you received prior to tying the knot?
Always put your family first. No matter what is going on in your life,
make your spouse and your family your number one priority.
What are you looking forward to at the Columbus Bride Show?
Our hope is that we can help some brides-to-be and couples out there learn
something from our story. We had a lot of odds working against us — like the
long distance and crazy work schedules — but we managed to make it work!

Connells bringing beauty
to the show — for a cause
Connells Maple Lee Flowers & Gifts has been making brides and weddings beautiful
since 1945, which you’ll see for yourself the moment you walk into the show.
Connells booth will be the crown jewel of the grand entryway, with arrangements
and bouquets galore. Best of all, each of the arrangements will go on sale for
$5 just before the show closes at 5 p.m. Sunday, with all proceeds benefiting
Choices for Victims of Domestic Violence, which you can learn more about
at choicescolumbus.org.
Connells presence will also be felt beyond the booth. Each day, its
floral pieces will be showcased in the Charles Penzone Fashion
Shows. Connells designers will also host a pair of bouquet-making
demonstrations each day at the Classroom Gazebo
(for more information, see the schedule
on the next page).
