Industry Leading Turnaround Times
• 3⁄16" Hardboard - Our most popular and economic material; 3⁄16" thick, tempered and tough. Should weather outdoors for 12 to 18 months.
We use hardboard, temper it, and coat the edges and flat surfaces with top quality paints. Over 75% of Dee Sign customers choose
hardboard because with all the hazards that signs must endure, many are lost, damaged or stolen before they wear out.
In 2013, 76% of sign orders shipped in under 5 days. 98.5% of sign orders
shipped in 10 days or less.We are extremely proud of our on-time shipping
record.
Additional Panel Materials
Rush Service - If you need signs even faster, Dee now offers Rush
service. For an added 15% of the order’s cost, we guarantee to ship your
catalog sign order in 5 to 7 working days, or we will refund not only the
rush fee, but also 5% of the order value for each day we are late. Many
people pay up to twice as much as the Dee Sign price to buy from a small
local shop when they are in a hurry. Next time, call Dee instead!
• 24 gauge Steel - Should weather 36 months. Zinc coated underneath. Excellent material. Recommended for swinging signs. Will rust if
paint and zinc undercoating are damaged.
• .10 & .150 Polyethylene - Should weather 36 months. Tough to break. Recommended for hanging signs. *Note: Polyethylene bows,
sometimes quite a lot. If this bowing will bother you, please choose a different material. We will not replace your signs later due to bowing.
•Expanded PVC - Should weather 12-18 months. Hangs straight without bowing. Works well in frames, but will break if struck with force.
Not recommended for swinging signs.
•.063" Aluminum - Should weather 36 months. Extra thick and extremely rigid. Excellent material. Recommended for swinging signs in windy and wet areas because it will not rust.
•.063" Reflective Aluminum - Should weather 36 months. Extra thick and extremely rigid. Excellent material; Recommended for swinging signs. White areas reflect light at night. Will not rust.
•.040" Aluminum - We consider this thickness of Aluminum to be inferior in durability when used for hanging signs.This material bends
easily, and should only be used in bolt-in frames. Will weather for 24 to 36 months, and will not rust.
• Polystyrene - A lightweight alternative to hardboard. Recommended for directional & PVC A-Frame Sign units, but some customers prefer
this material for hanging signs. However, this material will yellow depending on UV exposure. Not recommended in desert areas.
• 5 mm PVC - Should weather 24-36 months. Hangs straight, & won’t bow! Great for hanging signs, but will break if struck with force.
• Corrugated Plastic - Should weather 12 months. Very lightweight, tough to tear, bends easily along flutes & is somewhat translucent.
Recommended only for Open House or Directional signs.
Longevity estimates are based on normal weather conditions in most of the U.S.A. Salt water, chemical air pollution, or other special conditions will shorten sign life. Breaking the paint surface, or leaving signs lying on the ground (generally the reason why one side deteriorates much more than the other) will also shorten life.

When you request a proof from one of our customer service reps, we will
