* HSR NIP - Neighborhood Improvement Plan: Bangalore is one of the rapidly
developing cities in the world. That brings with it many challenges. NIP is a
compherensive development program which address the challenges such as the
high volume of vehicular traffic, the lack of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure,
traffic management. NIP brings together all the stakeholders and strives for a
holistic solution.
* Solid Waste Management in HSR Layout : Bangalore is going through a massive
effort to clean and green the environment. To reduce the amount of waste going
into landfills, the garbage is segregated at source and goes to appropriate category
such as recycling, compost or hazardous waste. HSR layout is leading the way by
constant efforts from the corporator and active residents. Numerous activites and
awreness programs are conducted to make HSR Layout a Zero Garbge Ward. Tree
plantings along the roads and devlopment of public parks are also undertaken with
keen interest .
