Geology
The Mt Carlton project is a high sulphidation epithermal style deposit with mineralisation occurring within
felsic volcanic rocks on the northern margin of the Permian Bowen Basin. The project is comprised of gold,
silver and copper.
Reserves: V2: 7.30Mt @ 3.0g/t Au; 22g/t Ag; 0.28% Cu for 705koz Au, 5.04Moz Ag,
20.3kt Cu (870koz AuEq)
A39: 0.67Mt @ 209g/t Ag; 0.38% Cu for 4.53Moz Ag, 2.6kt Cu
Resources:V2: 11.4Mt @ 2.5g/t Au; 22g/t Ag; 0.27% Cu for 932koz Au, 8.18Moz Ag,
31kt Cu (1.19Moz AuEq)
A39: 0.9Mt @ 197g/t Ag; 0.33% Cu for 5.20Moz Ag, 2kt Cu
Estimated mine life: 12 years
Mining
Mining production is derived from two pits, the large gold dominant V2 deposit and the smaller, silver rich A39
deposit. The V2 deposit is flat lying and situated 20m to 180m below surface and is 70m thick with a 500m by
500m areal extent. The two deposits are located 200m apart. The two pits utilise conventional drill and blast,
load and haul methodologies, mining 5m benches in 2.5m flitches.
The A39 pit will have a life of mine strip ratio of 3.3:1. The V2 pit will have a life of mine strip ratio of 2.7:1 and
will be mined over nine years. The low grade ore will be stockpiled and processed after depletion of the
high grade ore, to be processed post completion of open pit mining.

Ore treatment / processing method/s: Crushing, grinding and bulk sulphide flotation to produce a
polymetallic concentrate
Nominal Treatment rate:
Design capacity of 800,000 tpa
Delivery:
Concentrate trucked to port in Townsville and shipped to Shandong,
China. Trip from Townsville port to smelter takes around three
weeks for gold concentrate and around 4 weeks for silver
concentrate
Sale Agreements:
Guoda Gold Co Ltd: Gold Silver Copper concentrate from V2
Humon Smelting Co: Silver copper concentrate from A39
Ore Processing:
As ore from the silver sulfide (A39) and high grade gold sulfide (V2)
pits cannot be processed simultaneously, ore processing alternates
by deposit by quarter to produce both gold and silver polymetallic
concentrates
