IL Fall 2014 Book List

Fall 2014 Book List
Revised: July 17, 2014
FIRST YEAR REQUIRED BOOKS:
Anastasia Boles
Civil Procedure I – Day
Glannon/Perlman/Raven-Hansen, Civil Procedure: A Coursebook (Wolters Kluwer, 2nd
ed.), ISBN: 9781454851332 (Print)/ 9781454842033 (Casebook Connect)
**Available 3/11/2014
Students have two options for obtaining this text. The bookstore has been asked to
order some hard copies for students to purchase. It does not matter which option
students select. Students should be advised that my electronic use policy allows
laptops for note-taking, but they may only access hard copy materials in class. In
other words, the digital features of the Casebook Connect option should not be used
in class; students should have a hard copy of the coursebook in class. Both options
allow students the use of a hard copy book during the academic year.
Option 1: Students may purchase this through traditional bookstore channels,
where student owns book.
Option 2: Students may choose the Casebook Connect print and digital package, but
print book is returned at end of course. This book can be purchased
at www.aspenlaw.com/connected and should go on sale by 08.01.14, if not before
that date.
Glannon et al., 2014 Supplement (Wolters Kluwer), RQ
Glannon, Civil Procedure: Examples and Explanations (Aspen, 7th ed.), ISBN:
9781454815488 RC
Turning Technologies ResponseCard RF, RQ
**Students should also purchase a Turning Technologies ResponseCard RF (a
“clicker”). We will be using the clickers throughout the semester. I prefer that
students purchase a clicker with an LCD screen (allowing real-time verification of
student response and channel), but the regular RF device is suitable as well.
Clickers may be purchased through the bookstore or via a third-party source (as
long as the device is a ResponseCard RF). Students must have a physical device;
response licenses will not be permitted.
