NOTES TO BUYERS
1. This auction conducted on behalf of Land Rover Limited is a
“Closed Auction”, that is to say, only persons and permanent
employees of Land Rover retailers are permitted to attend and
bid.
2. Any person or company representative who purchases a used Land
Rover motor vehicle at this auction must be able to prove that he
is an appointed Land Rover retailer and must register as such to
obtain a buyer’s number.
3. All auction sales of used Land Rover motor vehicles are subject
to BCA Conditions of Sale. Large framed copies are exhibited
throughout the Auction Hall, and small copies may be obtained
from the Auction Office, free of charge. All buyers are legally
bound by special Conditions of Sale, it is important that prospective
purchasers read them before bidding.
4. If the vehicle is less than 3 years old from the date of first
registration, any unexpired portion of the normal Land Rover
assistance warranty scheme then remaining is transferred to the
new owner, unless expressly stated by the auctioneer at the time of
sale.

at a Land Rover Closed Auction has been declared to the best of
Land Rover’s knowledge.

8. Motor Auctions involve the movement of vehicles which can be
hazardous and/or dangerous. Please take all reasonable steps to
ensure your own health and safety and that of others at the auction,
adhering to all instructions given by the auctioneer and following
the requirements stated in all notices. In particular, you should
take special care when near vehicles that are moving or are about
to move.
9. To keep our auction centres full of fresh used vehicle stock for you,
all buyers are required to both promptly pay for and remove from
BCA sites all vehicles purchased ‑ in accordance with our terms
and conditions. We can deliver your auction purchases ‑ simply
contact the Transport team.
10. Payment for vehicles will be made by a direct debit from Land
Rover. When the sale has finished you will be required to sign a pro
forma invoice in the main reception to confirm your purchases, a
copy of which will be given to you.
11. Vehicles may be taken on the day of the sale or within 24 hours if
you wish to make your own arrangements. Alternatively, BCA will
be happy to undertake delivery to your premises. Please confirm
your requirements at the time of confirming your purchases.

Fax Bid Form Instructions
• Before bidding please ensure the your company is eligible to attend/bid at the sale. Your
Dealer number or manufacturers agreement will help in qualifying your bids for inclusion
into the sale. BCA Account Numbers are beneficial for faxed bids.
• All bids must be given by 3.00pm on the day preceding the sale. Bids must be submitted
to Kerry Pittaway/Terry McManus on Fax No (0121) 747 2481.
• Either/or bids cannot be accepted.
• Although BCA will endeavour to contact each bidder on the day of the sale it is always the
duty of the bidder to ensure the sale results and to communicate payment instructions
and delivery details if necessary.
• It is the responsibility of the bidder to be fully aware of the vehicles condition, selling
description and catalogue accuracy. Please contact the selling centre prior to faxing/
phoning bids.
• Where two or more identical bids are left for the same vehicle the first bid received will
take preference, not withstanding an identical bid from a buyer present at the sale.
•
A charge of £35 will be made to any Silver or Gold Cardholder who successfully bids and
makes a purchase with a commission bid.
•
A charge of £25 will apply to any Silver or Goldholder who visit the Auction Centre
themselves but cannot wait for the vehicles(s) to be offered and prefers to leave the
commission bid.
•
Black Cardholders will not be charged for this service.
•
There will be no charge for leaving an unsuccessful bid.
