Background
My Dental Team is a dental practice with a strong
emphasis on preventive care and general dentistry.
My Dental Team is based in two convenient locations Shellharbour and Bella Vista in New South Wales.
The dedicated team thrives on building lasting
relationships with patients and provides friendly and
professional dental care using all the latest technology.
The team is committed to making patients feel
comfortable and providing customised aesthetic dental
care in a relaxed and caring environment.
The dentistry relies on in-house printing to create a variety
of documents for staff, suppliers and customers.
Challenges
The printer fleet at the My Dental Team offices included
a mix of old inkjet and laser devices. The technology was
quite dated which resulted in poor colour print quality,
particularly for images. Printing colour photos was also
expensive using inkjet devices.
Managers were unable to easily measure and manage
printing costs, and found that holding a large stock
of printer cartridges on site was tying up cash flow.
Troubleshooting printer issues resulted in lost productivity
and service technicians were regularly called in to assist,
further increasing costs.
Space at My Dental Team offices is limited and
management is concerned about the cosmetic appeal of
large printing and copying devices being on show at the
front desk.
With plans for future growth, management needed a print
and copying solution that could be easily expanded and
replicated in future sites.

Solution
Fuji Xerox Printers reseller Australian Office Machines
(AOM) reviewed My Dental Team’s print volumes, previous
consumables and servicing invoices, and recommended a
mix of colour and monochrome devices.
As much of the dentistry’s printing is in black and white,
AOM recommended three monochrome Fuji Xerox
DocuPrint P455d printers. The DocuPrint P455d printers
offer high speed printing and are ideal for printing receipts,
emails, invoices, order sheets, signage, invoices and other
administration documents.
AOM also recommended a Fuji Xerox ColorQube 8900,
an environmentally friendly colour printing solution which
produces excellent quality colour documents and images.
The ColorQube’s pricing model sets prices based on the
amount of colour used, rather than per page so My Dental
Team pays less for printing documents that have small
amounts of colour.
Two high speed DocuPrint C5005d colour devices and a
multifunction Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CM405df were also
installed for enhanced colour printing and document
management.
In addition to the new printers AOM recommended that
My Dental Team sign up to Fuji Xerox Printers’ managed
print services solution. The managed print program is
an end-to-end management solution which offers an
attractive pricing model. Prices are fixed per page and
include the cost of all consumables and servicing.
