Your economical 1394b 3-port hub.
IOI’s economical 1394b 3-port hub can be used
to combine the signal of two cameras e.g. AVT’s
Stingray or Pike cameras into one signal/cable.
Up to two hubs can be cascaded. The bus can be
powered via a power plug, if cable power is
absent or insufficient. By using any two of the
three ports, the device acts as a repeater. Up to
two repeaters can be used in series. Three cable
segments can be bridged this way.

Your industrial 1394b to fiber Hub.
AVT’s external 1394b to fiber hub offers users the
ability to convert from 1394b electrical signals
to glass optical fiber in a robust industrial
housing. The hub is equipped with an optical
transceiver with LCLC receptacle to bridge
distances up to 500 m at 800 Mbps with
50 µm/125 µm multimode fiber. Three electrical
1394b ports can be used for additional hub
functionality. This solution enables longer
distance applications associated with the
elimination of common ground problems with
e.g. Stingray and Pike cameras. Marlin,
Dolphin, Guppy and Oscar cameras can also be
connected by the use of legacy cables. The
device can be ordered either with a top-hat rail
(DIN rail) snap mounting or a mounting plate.
This makes the hub an ideal solution for
industrial applications.

Dust protection has to be taken off before fiber cable can be connected.
With a 1394a camera or a computer port connected on the electrical side, the GOF port translates to 1394b language, but a
1394a speed (S400 Beta/ S200 Beta/ S100 Beta ), thus enabling long distance application and the elimination of the common
ground.
