At Freedom Pain Hospital, we know that figuring out how to best treat your Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) symptoms can be an overwhelming task, and we are here to help. Research has shown that infusions of the medication Ketamine can reduce and even eliminate the symptoms of CRPS. Our integrative team will work closely with you during your initial consultation, your initial infusion therapy, and your follow-up treatments. How long does treatment take? The first step is a comprehensive evaluation by a member of the Ketamine team. The next step is beginning the initial infusion as an inpatient or as an outpatient. The outpatient initial infusions last approximately four hours a day for ten days. The inpatient initial infusion is a continuous infusion for three to five days. After completion of the initial infusion, Ketamine "booster" infusions are scheduled based on your response to treatment. What is the expected outcome? The long-term goal is to decrease overall pain levels, increase function, and restore quality of life. Each patient with CRPS is treated as an individual with kindness and hope. The Ketamine Treatment Program has been shown to be effective in the treatment of CRPS, resulting in a remission of the disease in some patients.
