Awards ceremony for the Kälte Eckert World Champions bet

What a lovely fairy-tale summer with a happy end! Our
national team won the world championships in Brazil for
the fourth time!
Shortly before the summer holidays, managing director
Holger Eckert held the awarding ceremony and announced
the following winners:
And Kälte Eckert GmbH was “not only there, but right in the
middle of everything” with partners, customers and employees taking part in the company’s own World Champion
betting game.

In the bet, interested football fans had the tricky but exciting
task of predicting the exact outcome of all the World
Champion matches (preliminaries and knock-out matches)
before they took place.
The best “experts” awaited super prizes , and those who
came in last had, with a wink, the prospect of being able
to refresh their knowledge with a book from the Mouse ( a
popular children’s TV character) entitled “Wie Geht
Fußball”(“How to Play Football”)
Kälte Eckert would like to thank all those who were “part
of it all” and who obviously enjoyed the betting, guessing,
puzzling, and gambling.
In order to ensure that the participants enjoyed the whole
thing and at the same time remained anonymous they
were asked beforehand to give themselves nicknames
which had something to do with football. Their creativity
was impressive – and included “Vollpfosten” (dumbass:
from a film called “Never Change a Winning Team” ),
“Matschgrätsche” (sliding tackle in the mud) and even
“Titan” the range of nicknames covered almost every
aspect of the game!
As betting can become an “addiction” we want to prevent
the gamblers from falling into a big black hole and so we
are passing the ball from the World Championships to the
National League. The Kälte Eckert bet on the National
League Season 2014/2015 is currently underway and
already 75 people are taking part.
As around 200 football fans wanted to take part, Kälte
Eckert’s idea was obviously an instant success.
