® LITE 4K Camlinx Fibre systems are camera back systems for multiplexing broadcast quality video, audio, talk-back and control signals onto fibre-optic cables for transmission between a camera and a production facility. This gives greatly increased transmission distance compared to coax cable, increased data rates, reduced cable thickness and reduced susceptibility to EM interference. The Camlinx 4K system comprises of a Base unit which resides in the production area and a camera-mounted Head unit. The units are connected by a fibre optic cable which allows the transmission of 4K video signals up to 10Km. The head unit can be powered down a hybrid fibre cable or with a local 12V supply. ® LITE 4K Camlinx 4K meets all SMPTE requirements for the transmission of Broadcast video. Signals Description Connectors 4K VIDEO 4 x BNC 3 Gb/s - SMPTE 424M Four 3G SDI signals in one direction from the 1.5 Gb/s - SMPTE 292M camera end to the base end. Support for 4K 270 Mb/s - SMPTE 259M SMPTE 425 video over 4 links. HD VIDEO 2 x BNC 1.5 Gb/s - SMPTE 292M Two HD-SDI video signals. One in each 270 Mb/s - SMPTE 259M direction. HDMI 1 x HDMI type A The HD-SDI video output at the head or base is also output as HDMI. SERIAL 2 x 9pin D(socket) Bidirectional serial signals for remote control panels (RCP). RS232 or RS422 – user selectable. TALLY 1 x 9pin D(plug) Bidirectional Tally signal can be asserted at head or base. (9pin D plug) SYNC 1 x BNC Bi-level(SD) and Tri-level(HD) syncs are supported. Signals in both directions, the sync/genlock signal can be sourced from either end. The system will detect the sync signal and automatically configure the system to support it. ETHERNET 1 x RJ45 10/100 baseT (Bidirectional). Provides support for Ethernet based RCPs or web browser. TIMECODE 2 x BNC Two Timecode signals, one in each direction. TALKBACK 2 x XLR5 /AUDIO Noise : better than -70dB 2 bidirectional high quality audio channels suitable for programme audio or Talkback. Additional audio channels can be added with the ASM. (Audio to Serial Module) (5 XLR to 3 XLR conversion lead available.) Gain : +6dB increments (adjusted via user interface) Phantom Power : (enabled via user interface) +24V Audio input signals to the Camlinx Lite 4K system are not embedded onto the audio.
