Almighty God,
your Son Jesus Christ has taught us
that what we do for the least of your children
we do also for him.
Give us the will to serve others
as he was the servant of all,
who gave up his life and died for us,
but lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Prayer
We pray for members and friends of our congregation with special
needs, those who are in difficulty, or unable to attend worship and
activities as they would wish. We pray for those who are sick or in pain
- in body, mind or spirit - and ask that God will be very near to them,
to comfort and strengthen them day by day.

Child's Play is now in recess for the School Holidays. We
will resume on Thursday 17th July at the usual time of
9.30 - 11.30am.

St. David's will be holding its next street stall outside the post office on
Saturday 12th July. There will be many bargains and we hope to see
many members of the congregation either helping behind the tables or
shopping from the tables. Any further information can be obtained
from Judy Annear or Angela McClean.
———————————————————————————————Our next Loosely Woven concert
“Dreams” will be held on Saturday 30th
August at 2.00pm. Save the date for another
great afternoon of music, song, silly-business
and thought- provoking themes!
——————————————————————————————————St. David's Fellowship will be meeting on Wednesday, 9th July at 9.30
a.m. for morning tea followed by an interesting talk by Marcia Rutter on
her recent visit to an Aboriginal community. We hope to welcome many
members of the Congregation.
“And this shall be a sign”
I slept and dreamt that life was joy; I woke and saw that life is service; I acted, and behold! service was joy! [Rabindranath Tagore] Our guest preacher for the service next Sunday 13th July will be
Vera Ryan. Vera is a retired Presbyterian Deaconess who served as
Chaplain at Westmead Children's Hospital for many years. We look
forward to hearing the message Vera has for us.

Long time member, Keith Loudon passed away last week, and a
funeral Service was held at St. David’s last Tuesday afternoon. Both
Keith and Ruth, were very dedicated members of the St. David’s
congregation. Ruth was a great organizer of lots of congregation
functions and Keith was a great supporter for her.

With sadness we also received the news of the death of Howard
Payne on Friday 27th June. A Service of Thanksgiving for Howard will
be held at St David's this afternoon at 2.30pm. Our thoughts and
prayers are with Margaret and her family. It has been a blessing to
get to know Howard as a member of St David's these past few years.
