In a pan, pour oil and sauté annatto seed until the oil turns dark
orange in color. Remove the seeds. Sauté garlic, onion and tomato
paste until the tomato paste dries a little. Add in chicken, laurel
leaf, peppercorn, turnips and carrots. Pour ½ cup water and simmer until cooked.
