The BBQ App is a simple tool that helps
your employees become advocates for your
organisation by leveraging their physical
social network. It allows staff to get feedback
from friends, family and acquaintances – who
may be your customers – and send that
feedback via their compatible smartphone
to your service teams when they are out
and about.

The BBQ App template poses key questions to get details of
customer issues or other feedback, as well as contact details.
Your employees fill in the template and send the information
to your customer service team or appropriate department,
who then contact the customer to address the issue.

such as a BBQ, sporting event, or waiting
for a train, making them the public face of
your business outside of work.
The BBQ App is a powerful addition to formal

and attitudes and can also be designed to address internal
staff issues such as safety concerns or other topics you may
want to monitor.

Proven in practice
The BBQ App was initially developed for use by Telstra
personnel. More than 38% of our staff have downloaded
the Telstra BBQ app. Since May 2013, over 4,000 customer
referrals have been submitted by staff.

The app has been developed on the KonyOne Platform
which is designed to deliver robust performance across
multiple user scenarios.
Works with multiple
operating systems
The app will work on all major operating systems including
iOS, Android, Windows 8 and BlackBerry®.
Flexible options
The BBQ App can be installed in the Telstra cloud2, another
public or private cloud or on premise. Your staff simply
download the app onto their smartphone.
Expert support for
peace of mind
We provide Level 1 support via the Telstra service desk to
assess any problems and conduct basic troubleshooting.
If further action is needed, we'll escalate the issue to Kony
who provide 24/7x365 support for critical/severity 1 issues,
backed up with business hours support for all other issues.
Affordable and
predictable costs
The BBQ App is available by purchasing an annual licence
for your organisation. Each licence provides up to 100,000
BBQ App sessions over the year.

The app’s standard template can be tailored to meet your
specific information and branding requirements. (This may
incur additional charges to make these customisations.)
Each app log in is counted as a session, with unlimited time
for each session. If you exit the app and log in again, that is
counted as another session.
