CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME to BVN’s 2014-2015 Musical production of BIG FISH!
The cast, crew, and pit orchestra have been selected, and it’s time to begin rehearsing!
This packet includes production fee information, forms for program ads, t-shirt orders and bios. Also
included is information about advance ticket purchase information and FAN Club membership.
Parents, we look forward to seeing you on Wed, November 12, at 7pm in the PAC at the MANDATORY
parent meeting. Please bring with you the Musical Fees-Cast form with payment.
At the meeting we will answer any questions you have about what to expect these next few months,
and about volunteer opportunities. The BVN Musical can’t happen without our parent volunteers!
No matter your skills or time available there is something you can do to help make this show the best
it can be! Hopefully, you received the list of volunteer opportunities . We respectfully require that all
parents of cast and crew assist in some way.
Please keep your eyes on your email for a link to sign up. If you prefer, you can also sign up at the
meeting on the 12th.
We’ve included the rehearsal schedule in the packet. Here are other key dates to mark on your

[email protected] Commitment You signed a Parent Consent Form before your student could audition for the musical. This
is a reminder that you have already consented to the following. We, student and parent, understand the time commitment I/we are making. Together, we
understand the importance of being ON TIME and present at every single rehearsal. We have
looked at the rehearsal schedule on BVNDrama.org and have listed any conflicting dates
and the reason for that conflict on the conflicts sheet. Conflicts my family has taken into
account are: religious holidays, family vacations, school field trips, doctor and dentist
appointments and other family responsibilities and commitments that could take place
during after-school rehearsal periods. We also understand the financial commitment
associated with this production and have reviewed the approximate costs of this production.
Illnesses should be reported to the office. PLEASE email Mr. Brown if you are not going to
be in school at [email protected] or call 913-239-3137. NO unexcused absences!
- Roll will be taken at the beginning and end of every rehearsal. Your parents will be called
if you don’t show up or if you are caught leaving early without consulting Mr. Brown first.
a. With a 2nd unexcused absence, a meeting must be held with your parents before
you are allowed to continue with rehearsals.
b. With a 3rd unexcused absence, you will be removed from the performance.
Fees are non-refundable.
- You will need to clear your schedule from 3-6 pm daily. Voice and dance lessons must be
rescheduled
- Your commitment to be healthy, follow all school rules and communicate when absent
from school is imperative. Musical Fees (Cast) Being part of this production requires a financial commitment. Listed here are the fees that are required

Alexis is excited to perform in her second show at BVN. She would like to thank all her family and friends
for their support. She hopes you have as much fun watching the show as she had rehearsing for it.
Nathan would like to thank Mrs. Willbanks and Mr. Brown for giving him this incredible opportunity.
His hobbies include sneaking snacks and beverages into the theatre behind Mrs. Willbanks’ back, and
disrupting Mr. Brown’s rehearsals. Enjoy the show!
Gracie is thrilled to be a part of her third musical at North. Outside of BVN, she is actively involved in
several community theatre groups in the KC area.
