DATA ANALYSIS CO-ORDINATOR (DAC)
The Ontario Early Years Centre Haliburton Victoria Brock (OEYC HVB) is a not for profit organization that
promotes, supports and enables healthy development of children and their families by providing
accessible, responsive and educational programs and services for children, parents and caregivers.
The DAC role supports the OEYC HVB, and all early years agencies in the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL)
and Haliburton County (HC) as well as liaising with the Ministry of Education. The DAC collects, analyzes,
disseminates and reports on information relevant to the early years sector and /or the community.
Duties also include, but are not limited to: assisting with the maintenance of a community website,
providing training and workshop sessions for community partners, implementing the Early Development
Instrument (EDI) and managing projects as assigned.

The successful candidate will have:

College or university degree in social sciences, including completed courses in data analysis, and
quantitative and qualitative research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven capabilities with Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint and website management
Proficiency in data collection and analysis using Excel and SPSS as research tools
Proficiency writing and presenting reports, including statistical information
Detailed knowledge of community resources, supports and services in CKL and HC
Knowledge of Access and mapping techniques is an asset
Demonstrated communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills
Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle
This position is full-time (35 hours/week), commencing October 27, 2014. The salary range is $42,600$47,600 plus benefits.
