IEEE RIVF 2015 Call for Papers

Call For Papers
The 11th IEEE-RIVF International Conference
on Computing and Communication Technologies http://rivf2015.ctu.edu.vn January 25–28 2015, CanTho, Vie tnam
We are pleased to invite you to submit the original paper(s) for The 11th IEEE-RIFV International Conference on Computing and
Communication Technologies.
The IEEE-RIVF 2015 conference is hosted by CanTho University, Vietnam. The conference aims to provide a high-level, international forum for
scientists, researchers and innovators to share their new ideas and achievements, identify the emerging issues, and establish academic
collaborations in various disciplines of computing and communications. This year, an EU-ASEAN COOPERATIONS & RESEARCH ON Internet of Things and Open Platforms event will be co-located with RIVF where
presenters from IERC and many EU FP7 projects will present their needs and success stories of collaboration.

Conference Topics: The conference solicits submission of research papers in major areas of computing
and communications, organized into the following eight tracks. Relevant topics of each track include, but
are not limited to:
• Information management: Model-based information integration; distributed data management;
integration of heterogeneous data sources; metadata & meta-models; domain modeling;
information architectures; security & privacy; e-commerce and business integration solutions; and
information management in health care and public services.
• Computational Intelligence: Language and speech processing; soft computing; knowledge discovery
and data mining; machine learning; computational biology; agent-based systems; semantic web;
information extraction and retrieval; and natural language processing.
• Communication and Networking: Network architecture; network protocols and security; parallel and
distributed computing; grid computing; cloud computing; mobile and ubiquitous computing; quantum
networks and communications; and network security.
• Modeling and Computer Simulation: Data visualization; virtual reality; behaviour simulation; and
scientific computing.
• Applied Operational Research and Optimization: Linear programming; integer programming;
dynamic programming; constraint propagation; heuristics; applications in control, production, and
scheduling.
• Software Engineering and Embedded Systems: Agile methods; component-based, model-driven,
grid-based software engineering; open source software development; product lines; software process;
software testing and verification; embedded system testing and verification; integration and test; multicore programming; real-time systems; and web services.
• Human Machine Interface and Imaging Technologies: human-computer interface and interaction;
multimedia; image processing; imaging in chemistry; medicine; biology; and geography.
• Internet of Things: Architecture and infrastructure design for distributed and networked sensors and
actuators; intelligent networks and communications; semantics and intelligent data processing, mining,
fusion, storage, and management, context awareness, ambient intelligence; business issues and
value chain analysis; standards, user experience, and social issues; experimental prototypes, testbeds, and field trials experiences on smart services and applications.
Paper Submission: Authors are invite to submit papers of up to 6 pages, written in English, in PDF
format and compliant with the IEEE standard (http://bit.ly/1gsZjo6). All papers must be original
contributions and not previously published, nor currently under consideration, for publication elsewhere.
Accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society in IEEE proceedings.
Papers should be submitted through the EasyChair conference submission system at
http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=rivf2015.
Post-Conference Publication: Authors of selected best papers will be invited to submit extended
versions of their papers for publication in special issues of some prestigious international journals such as
Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing, International Journal of Distributed Systems
and Technologies.
Important Dates:
• Submission deadline (extended):
15, Sep 2014
• Author notification: 20, Oct 2014
• Camera ready version: 10, Nov 2014
• Conference: 25–28, Jan 2015
Call for Workshops: The one-day conference workshops are part of the IEEE RIVF-2015 that will be
held on January 25, 2015. We invite proposals for any topics of interest to the IEEE RIVF-2015
conference. The proposals should be submitted by July 30, 2014 to the Workshop Chair at
[email protected]. Workshop proposals should be one page of a sketch biography of the instructor
and outline of the workshop.
Call for Tutorials: We invite proposals for full-day and half-day tutorials to be held at the IEEE RIVF2015 conference on January 25, 2015. The proposals should be submitted by July 30, 2014 to the
Tutorial Chair at [email protected]. Tutorial proposals should be one page of a sketch biography of the
instructor and outline of the tutorial.
