The purpose of the meeting, for Shaarey Zedek members, is to share information and gather feedback from congregants. Some of you will have read my message in the recent Shofar and heard my comments from the Bimah over the recent High Holy Days. These messages are available by clicking the following links. You can also obtain a hard copy from the shul office. - Shofar Article September 2014 (PDF) - Kol Nidre Talk, October 2014 (PDF) On October 29th, you will hear from Board Members about recent discussions pertaining to our meetings with the Etz Chayim, as well as the Asper Jewish Community Campus and the theme of sustainability of Conservative Judaism in Winnipeg. Following the presentations, congregants will be asked to participate in round table discussions. An interim report was created which outlines where we currently are in some of these discussions, which can be reviewed by clicking here (PDF). We are hoping you will read this report prior to attending. Your presence at the meeting will help guide this process. We also anticipate that not everyone will be able to make it to the October 29th meeting. A second meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, November 20th at 6:30 to 7:30 PM (prior to the AGM).
