CHINA METALS WEEK
A celebration of the dynamic and diverse specialty and minor metals industries.
As the global economy recovers, now is the time to look to
the future.
of these metals will affect the markets and their pricing in the
years ahead.
With mobile device sales the highest they have ever been,
automotive sales picking up, and the electronics industry
doing well, learning about the markets that contribute to
these industries is more important than ever.
The event will attract a significant international audience of
decision makers to discuss macro-economic metal market
issues, as well as providing market intelligence for four
dedicated specialist streams.
Held in the epicenter of global trade and in recognition of
China’s integral role in global supply and demand, China
Metals Week will analyse the most pressing issues within the
Electronic, Battery, Light and Antimony metals markets and
discuss how advancements in technology and the applications
The first day of CMW brings together all delegates to discuss
the key issues affecting the global metal markets.
Then, the second full day will consist of four dedicated
streams focussing on the following metal groups:
ELECTRONIC METALS (Se, Ga, Ge, In, Bi)
BATTERY METALS (Cd, Li, Co, V, Ni)
Addressing metal substitution and its effect on the
electronic metals industry, as well as how new
applications will affect demand for these metals. This
stream will also cover Chinese government policies and
their impact on electronic metals supply in both China
and the rest of the world.
The battery metals stream will cover battery research
and developments including whether V-redox batteries
will help green technologies flourish. We will also cover
the impact that the growth seen within the mobile
device sector has had on the development of batteries,
and how this has effected demand for battery metals.
LIGHT METALS (Mg, Ti, Al)
ANTIMONY (Sb)
This stream will delve into new applications of light
metals and how they will affect the development of new
light alloys, as well as light metals in the automotive and
aerospace industry. The production of light metals and
the global current affairs affecting it, such as changing
government policies, will also be covered.
Following the previous successes of the World Antimony
Conferences, this dedicated stream will address
developments in the applications of antimony and
whether China will continue to be the market leaders in
the industry.
