Since 2010, Lark has produced hit format Real Housewives of Vancouver
(for Shaw) and the successful crime series, Motive (a co-production with
Foundation Features) for CTV (which also airs on ABC in the United
States). Motive has been successfully sold to most of Europe, Australia,
Brazil and much of Africa. The series is currently in production on season
two. Lark has done business with all major Canadian broadcasters,
including CBC, Corus, Knowledge Network and Rogers.
Michael Edelstein said: “We have tremendous confidence in Louise and her
team. Our working relationship with Lark has been incredibly fruitful over
the past three years, and we are immensely proud of what they have
accomplished. I look forward to working with Lark in the years to come,
and giving their shows the global reach they deserve.”
Lark Productions was founded in 2010 by Emmy-award nominated
producer, Louise Clark, to develop both scripted and non-scripted content
for the Canadian and international markets.
Clark’s career in production, development and as a broadcast executive
spans 25 years across television drama and comedy, feature films and
documentaries. As Vice-President of Program Development for CTV, Clark
developed and oversaw production for many hit shows, including comedy
Corner Gas (with TCN) and critically acclaimed Robson Arms. Prior to CTV,
she served as the Ontario Film Development Corporation's (OFDC) Head
of Production and Development, as well as acting CEO, and was
responsible for all feature film investments and development, as well as
TV movies, pilots and documentaries.
Louise Clark commented: “I am genuinely delighted to further strengthen
what is already a fantastic creative partnership with NBCUniversal. Michael
and the team share our passion for making great television, and we’re
already talking about a number of exciting new projects.”
