Lubricity Test Results from Motorola
Researchers Found 0% Wear on molded parts
with DAC’s Die Lube 2000 and Wear Guard
2000 Lubricants.
Motorola researchers tested 17 different lubricants
as part of a study to find alternative ways to prevent
smearing and contamination on molded parts.
Two products, DAC’s Wear Guard 2000 and
DAC’s Die Lube 2000, were found to stop all
galling, binding and wear, a 0% wear on parts.
Compare the results of a lubricity test, pictured above. Die Lube 2000 was
applied to the ball bearing, above left. No wear is shown after the lubricity
test. The ball bearing above right was treated with a typical grease, and
acquired significant wear from the same lubricity test factors. Die Lube
2000’s pure lubrication package out-performs everyday shop grease.
Tests show Die Lube 2000 with 0% Scrap Ratio
on Secondary Operations. DAC’s Die Lube
2000 was found to be number one for eliminating
bleeding and smearing in secondary operations,
resulting in 0% scrap ratio. This is a significant
improvement from their previous 33% scrap ratio
during production prior to the study.
Details of wear test: Testing Apparatus: fixed ball bearing on race. Load: 77.1 lb. on 1/2 inch steel ball, accomplished by hanging 5 lb. weight on end of torque wrench. 1.360 dia. race @ 287 rpm. Test time: 1 hour. For
heat stability testing, materials underwent successive 24 hour treatments at 150°, 200°, 250°, 300° and 350°F.
Maximum temperature tolerated without significant deterioration in appearance is recorded.

Armor Plate is a dry-film, semi-permanent, teflon compound plating agent. It fills
voids in metals, eliminating surface friction,
enhancing material flow and parts release.
Armor Plate will not shrink or expand over
a wide range of temperatures. Armor Plate
