Job Description Job Title: Director of CYO Operations for New York City FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt Classification: First/Mid Level Official Office: 1011 First Avenue Reports to: Director of Catholic Youth Organization Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes __X________ Summary: No __________ In association with the Director of CYO, the Director of CYO the Director of County Programs is responsible for the implementation and management of the structure of the operations and community based youth programming throughout the entire Archdiocese of New York. This individual will promote and support and make aware to the communities the activities of CYO. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Working with the CYO Director and Director of Operations to ensure that all CYO personnel have received appropriate training prior to working with the youth of CYO. Working with the CYO Director and Director of Operations and the County Directors to organize, schedule, supervise and manage operations for all activities occurring within each county. Assists the Director of Operations and the County Directors in developing start-up programs or individual projects within each county. Work with the County Directors in planning and scheduling the Archdiocesan Championships and contests in all athletic, cultural and social programs. Working with the CYO Director and Director of Operations to monitor and evaluate programs. Working with the County Directors to implement procedures and system in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations of existing CYO programs in each county. Qualifications: Education and/or experience required: Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Education or related field At least 5 years of relevant experience in one of the areas listed above Oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Commitment to the mission to Catholic Charities and Catholic Youth Organization Willing to be highly flexible in arranging work hours.
