2014 CTC Academic Scholarship
Purpose: The CTC Academic Scholarship is for students who are attending college or
other types of technical training following high school. Scholarship awards are to be used
for tuition, books and other expenses incurred at the post-secondary institution.
Scholarships must be used during the 2014-2015 school-year.
Amount: $500 (Number of scholarships will be based on the total number of qualifying applicants.)
The highest scoring applicant will receive a larger award.
Eligibility:
o Senior
o Attended CTC for the full 2013-2014 school-year
o B or higher grade in CTC program for first semester 2013-14
o B or higher grade for the academic portion of CTC program (i.e. ELA, Algebra, etc.)
o Earned full credit for first semester of 2013-2014 school-year
Requirements:
o Complete the application online at www.tbactc.org/general-info/scholarships.asp
No handwritten applications will be accepted.
o Two letters of recommendation (may use CTC Recommendation Form)
o Copy of an acceptance letter from a college or technical school
o Copy of updated resume
o All documents attached to the cover sheet. (See web page above.)
Due: Applications must be turned into Student Services by 3:00 PM

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Interviews:
After selection committee reviews all applications, an interview will be scheduled for
qualified applicants. Interviews will be scheduled on Thursday, April 10 and Friday,
April 11, 2014. At the interview, the applicant will be asked to give a short (five minute)
presentation demonstrating a skill the applicant learned in the CTC program. Professional
dress and demeanor are an important part of the interview.

A student, applying for this scholarship, may not apply for the CTC Tools of
