1. Introduction
This manual guides the user to use the online application that keeps track of progress of projects
under District Innovation Fund (DIF). The primary users of the application are the staff at the
district collectorate and the staff at the General Administration Department in charge of DIF.
2. How to access DIF
To access DIF the user has to type the http://schemes.cmgi.org.in on the address bar of
the browser. The scheme selection page will be opened as shown in figure-1, below.

The user then clicks on the DIF box to select the District Innovation Fund web application.
Alternatively typing http://schemes.cmgi.org.in/dif will redirect the user to the DIF home page.
3. Home Page
After entering the above URL user will view the home page of DIF website as in
Figure-2. User has to click login and enter his user id and password. User id is of following
format.
User id: DC-DISTRICT NAME eg. DC-CUTTACK, DC-PURI
Password is ‘password’ for the first time log in. Then it can be changed by the user by
clicking “Changed Password” link.

4. Project Listing Page
After the user successfully logged into the website, the Project Listing Page is
shown (see Figure-4). It displays the list of projects for a particular district.

User can edit the data for an existing project by clicking the respective action button. An
entry can be deleted by clicking the delete (i.e. x) button. If the user wants to add new project,
he/she can do so by clicking “Add New Entry” link. The new entry screen is shown in Figure: 5
below.

This flow continues for all other project related entries, editing and listing such as
“Request Amount”, “Allotted Amount”, “Expenditure” etc. Below are few screen shorts for the
website.

Likewise Expenditure, Utilization Certificate and Benefit Created for project can be listed,
modified and added for projects using the application.

5. Reports
Various reports have been generated utilizing the existing data for District innovation Fund.
Those are:
1) Financial Progress Report for all districts is placed at Home page.

2) Graphical representation of above report can be seen under the report tab in top horizontal
menu bar.

3) Benefit created Report can be seen by selecting “Benefit created Report” from the left side
menu, after logged in to the site. This page shows number of projects for which benefit
created reports have been submitted against total number of projects for a district.

4) Clicking on the district in above report shows the projects for a district and benefit created
report submission status.
