with Health Canada.
There are many brands of needles and electro-therapeutic equipment available from other
suppliers, which may NOT be registered.
Why is it important?
Health Canada reviews medical devices to assess their safety, effectiveness and quality
before being authorized for sale in Canada. Using a non-registered medical device (including
acupuncture needles) does not guarantee these standards are met. This is important not only
for your patients, but also for your practice.

therapy is commonly used in the treatment of substance
abuse, smoking cessation and weight loss.
Magnetic therapy is a safe, non-invasive method of
applying magnetic fields to the body for therapeutic
purposes. The concept of using magnets for healing
goes back thousands of years to ancient Greece, Egypt
and China. The effects of magnetic polarity promote
more efficient blood flow, thereby supporting healing

The small 1.2 mm diameter stainless steel, silver or gold pellets produce a long
acting, continuous acupressure effect on the point.
Generally, pellets should be changed every 2 to 3 days to achieve the maximum
effect (usually the body will adapt to the acupressure after 2 to 3 days). Before
applying, the skin should be thoroughly cleaned with alcohol and the tape
applied with a good seal. The patient may be reminded to gently press or
stimulate these pellets occasionally during the day or as otherwise directed.

MAGNETIC THERAPY
is one of the safest alternative therapies available as stated
by the World Health Organisation in their 1987 study on

Historically, magnets and many different metals have been used for balancing
the body’s energy. When magnets or certain combinations of two dissimilar
metals contact the body, a small electric current, known as the Polarity
Agent, is generated. Some commonly used pairs of metals which exhibit
this phenomenon include: gold/silver, copper/zinc, nickel/copper, and gold/
aluminum. Magnets, by virtue of their natural north (-) and south (+) magnetic
poles also exhibit this same phenomenon.

The concept of using magnets for healing the body goes back thousands

University have also supported the effectiveness of magnetic therapy.

One theory behind magnetic healing relies on the magnet’s ability
to affect the atomic and molecular electro-potential of the blood.
Besides containing iron, which is magnetically active, human blood is
composed of 90% water. During magnetic therapy the hydrogen and
oxygen molecules in the water as well as iron become magnetically
polarized and align with other components in the blood. These charged
molecules and aggregates are then able to travel throughout the body
more efficiently, thus allowing the blood’s nourishing energy to more
effectively support healing and recovery.

congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on
the skin either by means of heat or suction. Cupping has
also been found to affect the body up to four inches into
the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the
lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and
clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin,
minimize stretch marks and improve varicose veins. It has also
been used as a means to open the ‘meridians’ of the body.
The burning of moxa is used to increase Qi in the system
and tonify the Yin state. There are 3 types of moxibustion:
direct, indirect and needle moxa. In direct moxibustion,
a small, cone-shaped amount of moxa is placed on top of
an acupuncture point and burned. With indirect moxibustion,
the moxa is placed over the point and lit, but is extinguished
or removed before it burns the skin. Needle moxa combines
acupuncture and moxa. Metal caps can be used to help hold
the moxa on the needle.

Microcurrent is a physical therapy modality that has been

used. The extraction of Synerplex herbs fully follows
the traditional process of decoction, so that the active
ingredients of the extraction are preserved.
All herbs are prepared in proper ratio in accordance
with the TCM pharmacopoeia, and subsequently
extracted (highly concentrated 8:1 ratio) to enhance
synergism and natural chelation between the herbs.
All Synerplex products are manufactured in North America
and in compliance with USP standards.

• Uses capsules instead of tablets, with minimum non-medicinal ingredients
and alpha-glucan (polysaccharide) as the only material in our vegetarian
capsule shell.
• Free of processed excipients such as silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate,
or microcrystalline cellulose. Only certified organic apple fibre or beet root
fibre are used as fillers.
• Fully follows the traditional extraction process by using water as the only solvent.
• Low temperature spray dry technique that does not change the extraction process
but dries the product rapidly in one step to eliminate additional processing while
preserving the active ingredients.
• All herbs are prepared into proper ratios and are subsequently extracted together
to enhance synergism and natural chelation between the herbs.
• Special carrier-free granulation technique; Does not include carriers such
as corn starch and maltodextrin often used during the granulation process.
• Very highly concentrated 8 to 1 ratio of dried herbs to extract powder means
fewer capsules needed to be taken to reach effective dosage.
• Flexible dosage adjustment. Daily dosage to maintain the body's balance and
general wellness; dosage may be increased as needed to improve illness status.
• Meets USP standards. Tested by 3rd party independent laboratory. Kosher Certified.
