POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Chemical Dependency Professional or Trainee
Schedule: Monday through Thursday
Location: Longview, WA
Opening Date: April 16, 2014
Classification: Full Time
Hours: 8:30 am to 7:30 pm
Salary Range: for CDPT $12.00 to $15.00 DOQ and CDP $15.00 to $19.00 DOQ
Closing Date: April 23, 2014 or until filled
Position Summary: Primary function is to provide Chemical Dependency Services in an
intensive outpatient setting providing services to Native Americans and the general public.
Essential Job Functions:








Direct Patient Contact.
Chemical Dependency Assessments.
Intensive Outpatient Services.
Ability to work with youth or adults.
Must be able to efficiently utilize electronic health records.
Must be able to facilitate chemical dependency treatment groups.
Able to accurately process patient paperwork.
Minimal travel requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:




Effective written and oral communication.
Work collaboratively on a treatment team.
Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet
timelines.
Cultural awareness.
Desirable Qualifications:

The ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families and to organize
schedules and files are essential.
Other Requirements:





Applicants will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment.
Submit to a background check to include criminal and employment history.
Chemical Dependency Professional in WA State.
Must be flexible with schedule, may work some weekends, and shifts may alternate.
Not have a history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three (3) years before
employment as a CDP or two (2) years for a CDPT and does not display evidence of
misuse of alcohol or other drugs while a employed.
