Meet Our Outpatient Team
Deborah Downey, PTA
Deborah is Site Manager at Spaulding Orleans. She has an associate degree as a Physical
Therapist Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/Sports Medicine
from Westfield State and a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield
College. Her clinical interests include adaptive sports, orthopedics, and vestibular
rehabilitation.
Jennifer Avery, MSPT
Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of
Science in Physical Therapy from the University of New Hampshire. Her clinical interests
include orthopedics, especially knees and shoulders, and breast cancer rehabilitation.
Barbara Birnesser, MSPT, OCS
Barbara received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Hamilton College and her
Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University. She is certified in
Integrated Manual Therapy and Lymphedema Level 1. Her clinical interests include
orthopedics, manual therapy, lumbopelvic complex and amputee rehabilitation.
Therese Dupree, PTA
Therese received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Regis University
and her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant from Union County College
in New Jersey.
Amanda Fancy, DPT
Amanda received her Bachelor of Health Science from Quinnipiac University her Doctorate
in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. Her areas of clinical interest include sports
injuries and concussion management.
Lori Finn, PT
Lori has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont. Her clinical
interests include urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction, orthopedics, spine diagnoses,
vestibular dysfunction, and concussion.

Jennifer Hardigan, PTA
Jennifer received her associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Lasell College.
She also has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts at
Amherst. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, shoulders, sports injuries, and pediatrics.
Katharine Haynes, OTR/L
Katharine has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Boston University.
Her clinical interests include hand therapy and neurological rehab. She is trained in
Bioness H200.
William Howley, PT, DPT
Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy
from State University of New York at Buffalo. His clinical interests include neurological rehab,
Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, CVA and adaptive sports.
Lee LaCroix, MS, CCC-SLP
Lee received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of
Rhode Island. She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Training. Her clinical interests include
neurological speech-language pathology such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, and traumatic
brain injury.
Tracy Malloch-Swiderski, MSPT
Tracy received her Bachelor of Science in History and Philosophy at University of Pittsburgh
and her Master's of Physical Therapy at Gannon University in Pennsylvania. Her clinical interest
is in orthopedics.
Kristin Marston, OTR/L, CHT
Kristin received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Boston University.
She is a certified hand therapist. Her clinical interests include hand and upper extremity,
neuro/stroke, and SaeboFlex.
Heather Merrill, MSPT
Heather has a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Simmons College. Her clinical
interests include orthopedics, early intervention and exercise approach to lower back pain,
and Parkinson’s disease.

Janet has an Associate in Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Cape Cod Community
College. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, geriatrics, and vestibular rehab.
Christie Pavlu, MSPT
Christie has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science, and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy
from the University of New England. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, young athletes,
and concussion.
Dorian Robinson, PT
Dorian received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of New
England. Her clinical interests include lumbar spine, women's health, and geriatrics.
Joanna Ward, DPT
Joanna has a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University, and a Doctorate
in Physical Therapy from Simmons College. She is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment
(NDT). Her clinical interests include pediatrics and orthopedics.
