Winsor Primary School Newsletter Volume A: Issue 5: 10th October 2014 During the first week of October, each Year 2 class went on an educational visit to Stratford Circus where the children took part in an interactive film and theatre experience entitled 'Dusk'. It was an excellent chance for everyone to get involved in the performance as they each got to wear a large, furry tail and get their noses painted green by one of the actors! The show incorporated the themes of 'home', 'loss' and 'changes' in a unique and interesting way. We really enjoyed our trip and we are very grateful to all the parents and carers who helped out! Year 4 Visit Places of Worship Year 4 enjoyed visiting a Buddhist temple, a Mosque and a Church last Wednesday. They learned about the steps to enlightenment, how Muslims pray and Christian baptism. 6KG Class Assembly It was 6KG's turn for class assembly last week and their theme was The Ancient Greeks. They taught us about the story of Perseus and Medusa, the origins of the Olympics, democracy, and how the Ancient Greeks still influence us today. At the end of the assembly, the Year 6 pupils talked about their adventures at the Hay Bay before everyone in the hall was turned to stone by Medusa's head!
