OHSU and AURN Share Guiding Principles for Nurse Rest Periods During the past round of negotiations, the AURN and OHSU agreed to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) #13, Administration of Meals and Breaks. This MOU establishes a Rapid Process Improvement Team (RPIT) which is currently being formed to make recommendations to all Unit-Based Practice Councils (UBNPCs) and to the Chief Nurse Executive regarding the best methodologies to facilitate the taking of meal and rest breaks.
