How to Meet Assessment Requirements:
1.
Show proof of successful previous college experience at an accredited college. Students who have successfully completed (C- or higher) a college-level
mathematics and writing course within the past ten years from a regionally accredited institution will be exempt from taking the Accuplacer Placement
test. or
2. Show proof of minimum ACT scores of 18 in English, 19 in Math (for certain courses)
3. Show proof of minimum SAT scores of 430 in the verbal area (for English) and 460 in the math area, or
4. Take College Board’s Online Accuplacer Placement test. Knowledge of computers is not necessary to take the test. It is administered untimed. No student
calculators allowed.
5. NOTE: ACT, SAT, Compass and Accuplacer scores must be no more than three years old.
CNA: Certified Nurse Aide candidates must take the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension exam and must receive a score of 62 or higher in order
to qualify for CNA classes.
Early Childhood Education Program: Students may enroll in ECE 101 or ECE 111 along with one developmental course at the 090 level if all
other scores meet assessment requirements.
