Austech’s iQguard Carpark Detector is
an affordable, solid and robust device
designed for monitoring the level of toxic
gases found in enclosed car parks and
loading docks.
Features
• IP54 rated
• Simple to install, maintain and use
• Fully temperature compensated for
zero and span
These detectors are small light weight
devices which are easy to maintain,
service and operate.
Gas types detected
Used in conjunction with a controller, the
iQguard Carpark Detector can run with
variable speed drives on exhaust fans to
reduce excess power usage.

Refrigerant gas
detectors
Austech’s infrared refrigerant gas
detectors are highly selective and
accurate instruments which detect
specific refrigerant gas leaks and a
broad range of refrigerant gas types.
Features:
• Infrared technology for accuracy
• Highly selective for gas type
Gas types detected:
• Most common refrigerant gases
Sensors are set specifically to respond
to the target gas to reduce false alarm
situations which are a common issue
with lower performing technologies such
as semiconductors.
Flammable gas and
vapour detectors
Austech’s 79-2500 range of Exd
Group 2 / Zone 1 certified flammable gas
detectors are available in Infrared and
Catalytic detection versions.
Certification
• ANZEx 11.4101U / IECEx SIR
09-0118U (Catalytic)
• IECEx Exd IIB T6 40oC (Infrared)
The detectors feature a local display
(non-display options also available)
and calibration functions with 4-20mA
loop output; inbuilt alarm with relay
options for local alarm control; is user
programmable via magnetic tool; backlit
by LCD providing full information display
of gas, alarm and mA output.
Measuring range
• 0-100% Lower Explosive Level (LEL)
• % Volume specific to gas type
Features
• Flameproof
• Remote display option
• Non-intrusive calibration and
checking via magnetic tool
Infrared detector features
• Immune to catalyst poisons
• Not affected by high gas
concentraions (100% v/v)
• Low maintenance requirement
• No gas confidence testing
• 4-20mA source into 600 ohms
• Temperature stable condition not
affected by humidity
Gas types detected
• Butane
• Diesel
• Ethane
• Hydrocarbons
• Jet fuel
• Methane
• Petrol
• Propane
• Other hydrocarbons
• CO2 0-5%v/v Available in IR model
Calibration gases and
test kits
4 and 12 channel
controllers
We provide a range of calibration gases
and test kits complete with accessories
and a wide range of gas mixtures
traceable to either Australian or NIST
(USA) standards with full documentation
are available on request.
Features
• A large range of gases available
• Gas mixtures to Australian and NIST
standards
• Calibration kits include valves,
regulators, flow meters and tubing
Austech’s 4 & 12 channel system
controllers are compact units designed
to accept any two or three wire sensor
or transmitter that gives a 4-20mA
output, with relay outputs on board for
alarm events and programmed response.
Typical sensor/transmitter combinations
include Austech’s detectors for
combustible gas, oxygen, toxic gas,
flame detectors as well as temperature
and humidity transmitters.
designed to Australian Standards for
use with our iQguard Car Park Detector
as well as a flameproof version for
hazardous areas.
The controllers have 4 or 12 4-20mA
inputs, two 4-20mA outputs and four
relay outputs for common warn, alarm,
high alarm and fault conditions. Three
push buttons, four LEDs and a sounder
provide status and control functions. A
two line alpha-numeric display provides
continuous status readouts of each
monitored channel, with a choice of two
user-configurable formats. A specific
display mode shows all input readings
and status simultaneously.
Larger scale controllers and PLC’s are
also available.
Features
• Accommodates up to 4 or 12 gas
detectors
• Microprocessor controlled
• Accepts inputs from combustible
and toxic gas detectors, flame
detectors and any 4-20mA device
• Two line alpha-numeric display
• Retains data on loss of power
• Fully programmable from front panel
• Built in self diagnosis
• Fan control logic
• Software ‘voting logic’ output
• Optional RS485 Modbus digital
interface
• Optional data and event logging
The controllers come in carpark versions
