UROLOGY

UROLOGY CONDITION
UROLOGY TESTS REQUIRED
 EUC, FBC, Calcium
RENAL MASS
 CT Chest, abdomen, pelvis + oral contrast
HYDRONEPHROSIS or RENAL STONES
 EUC, Calcium, PO4, Urate, LFT
 CT Urogram (non-contrast) + X-Ray of kidneys, ureters
& bladder
 UMCS, EUC
BLADDER MASS
 Contrast CT urogram
 Renal tract ultrasound if IV contrast contraindicated
 Bloods for AFP, HCG, LDH
TESTIS MASS
 Urgent testis ultrasound. Please specify urgent clinic
review
 UMCS, EUC, PSA in males >40 yrs
MACRO HAEMATURIA
 Contrast CT urogram (pre and post IV contrast +
delayed pyelograms) if no contraindication
 Renal tract ultrasound if IV contrast contraindicated
ELEVATED PSA/ABNORMAL DRE
 UMCS (if UTI treat and repeat PSA 6 weeks after clear
UMCS)
 EUC
 Renal ultrasound
LUTS
- acute retention with IDC
 Urine microscopy & culture (UCMS), EUC
 Consider PSA if age>75 yrs or abnormal DRE
 Ultrasound testis
COMPLICATED LUTS
- (epididyo-orchitis)
 Ultrasound renal, MSSU, LFT
