LKAA FIR 30 HRS ONLINE 2014

1. Introduction
We expect a lot of traffic so we need your full cooperation. This briefing should help
you follow the procedures that allow the smooth flow of traffic.
2. General Rules
2.1. No sleep when flying (Sleeping pilots in LKAA FIR will be disconnected).
2.2. Know your aircraft.
3. Radio communication
3.1. After joining the frequency wait 5 seconds before you will start speaking.
3.2. Keep your communications clear and short as possible.
3.3. Execute ATC instructions as soon as possible, possibly immediately after
readback.
3.4. Listen well to communications, any "Please repeat" will delay another flow of
communication.
4. LKPR Departure procedures
4.1. AT GATE:
Check voice ATIS prior contacting ATC on initial contact with Delivery (LKPR_DEL)
report ATIS you recieved, QNH and request start up.
Once your readback is correct, you will be instructed to contact Ruzyne Ground
(LKPR_GND).
4.2. PUSHBACK, POWERBACK, TAXI:
On initial contact with GND, report just your stand number (do not confuse it
with a gate marking-those are different) and request pushback (stands 1-31 only)
or powerback (stands 70-76 only). Initiate taxi as soon as you confirm taxi
instructions to eliminate delay of you or other pilots.
4.3. DEPARTURE:
If instructed "stand by/monitor on 118.1 for Ruzyne Tower", change frequency
and do not talk on new one. ATC will call you, when he has time to do so. If you
need some time to warm up on the runway, always advise it to Tower
(LKPR_TWR) on initial contact. If you confirm you are ready for departure, initiate
your take off roll immediately after clearance for take off. Unless otherwise

instructed, contact Departure (LKPR_DEP) when airborne automatically (Arrival LKPR_APP only if Departure is offline) - do not call on Tower when airborne. On
initial contact with Departure (Arrival - if DEP is offline) report your callsign and
your actual level passing.
Unless otherwise instructed by ATC, initial climb is 5000ft Altitude. Check this
setting before departure. Do not climb above this level at your own discretion remember you are in CONTROLLED area.

5. LKPR Arrival procedures
5.1. ENTERING LKAA AIRSPACE:
LKAA_CTR unit will give you clearance for STAR, always check you have assigned
STAR in your FMC.
5.2. ENTERING LKPR TMA:
Check voice ATIS before initiating voice contact with Arrival (LKPR_APP).
When calling Arrival for the first time, report your Callsign, actual level passing,
ATIS and QNH.
Make sure you are maintaining speed of MAX IAS 250 when entering TMA LKPR.
5.3. APPROACHING INITIAL APPROACH FIX (IAF):
If flying on STAR, follow speed limit point restrictions as published.
Once speed is given by ATC, there are no other restrictions to apply according to
charts, always follow ATC speed restrictions - if you need to reduce speed,
always ASK ATC for that action - do not reduce at your own discretion once
speedcontroll have been applied.
5.4. RWY 24:
Unless otherwise instructed, after ERASU continue on heading 062, radar
vectoring will be provided.

Unless otherwise instructed, after RATEV continue on heading 062, radar
vectoring will be provided.
5.5. RWY 30:
Unless otherwise instructed, after ARVEG continue on heading 124, radar
vectoring will be provided.
Unless otherwise instructed, hold at KENOK continue on heading 304, radar
vectoring will be provided.
5.6. RWY 06:
Unless otherwise instructed, after AKEVA continue on heading 242, radar
vectoring will be provided.
Unless otherwise instructed, after KUVIX continue on heading 242, radar
vectoring will be provided.
Unless otherwise instructed, hold at BAROX continue on heading 062, radar
vectoring will be provided.
RWY 12:
unless otherwise instructed, after SOMIS continue on heading 304, radar
vectoring will be provided.
unless otherwise instructed, after EVEMI continue on heading 304, radar
vectoring will be provided.
5.7. FINAL VECTORING:
In case you are instructed to contact Ruzyne Radar(LKPR_F_APP) report ONLY
your CALLSIGN - NOTHING ELSE.
Expect speedcontroll as follow: max. IAS180 until 10NM final, max. IAS160 until
4NM final
Always follow ATC speed restrictions - do not reduce speed at your own
discretion
5.8. LANDING:
If able, commence approach briefing prior landing so to decide which taxiway
you wish to use to exit the runway.
NEVER stop on the runway after landing (except emergency situations).
NEVER vacate runway onto taxiways oposite orientated to your rolling direction.
Unless otherwise instructed, do NOT vacate runway 24/06 onto runway 12.
Minimum speed to vacate runway is 30 KTS, there are two rapidexit taxiways - D
and L - you may vacate runway to those taxiways up to speed of 60 KTS.
If instructed "taxi via..., cross runway 12, after crossing, contact Ground on
121.9" do it as instructed = switch to Ground AFTER crossing runway 12.

6. Scenery
6.1. Freeware scenery

6.2. Default scenery
If you wish to use only default scenery, write that fact to RMK in your FPL.
According to enormous number of differencies between those two sceneries,
pilots with default scenery will be parked close to Terminal South, far away from
other traffic.
