GENERAL INFORMATION:
Applicant is to be a faculty of a technical
institution/ employee of an industry working in
R&D/ research fellow in the relevant field/ PG
Student from Technical Institution.
The objective of the FDP is to create awareness
among the engineering & polytechnic faculty /
Research scholars / Engineers / Scientists,
regarding the recent trends and research
potential in different aspects in Engineering.
Hassan is a naturally air-conditioned city
located midway on the Bangalore-Mangalore
national highway, about 180 kms. from
Bangalore and about 165 kms. from Mangalore.
The world famous temples of Halebeedu, Belur
and Shravanabelagola are situated in Hassan
District. INSAT – Master Control Facility of ISRO
is located 6 kms. away from Hassan city.

Rs 500/The Fees may be paid by DD in favor of The
Principal, Malnad College of Engineering, HASSAN,
payable at HASSAN.
Accommodation will be given to the participants of
Non-TEQIP Institutions. No TA-DA will be given.

ABOUT COLLEGE:
Malnad College of Engineering (MCE), Hassan,
established in the year 1960-61, under the
auspices of the Malnad Technical Education
Society, Hassan, was the first college to be
established in the Malnad region of Karnataka
state. The college established in the latter part
of the Third Five Year Plan, as a joint venture of
the Government of India, Government of
Karnataka and The college has received The
Best Engineering College award by the Indian
Society for Technical Education (ISTE) during
the year 2007. At present, the college conducts
9 B.E. programs and 5 M.Tech Programs and
the MCA program and has 2750 students on its
rolls. The institution has thus been able to
contribute a large pool of talented engineers
to the industry and also for research. The
College is one amongst the 19 Engineering
Colleges in the State qualified for Phase-2 of
the Technical Education Quality Improvement
Program (TEQIP), a world bank sponsored
project.
