The Careers talk will tell you all about ECS employability initiatives which ensure excellent graduate prospects for our students. Above: First-year Electronics Engineering student Dominic Maskell (left) is building a quadcopter this summer, with support from the ECS Student Development Fund. Once completed Dominic will use the copter to research its use as an autonomous vehicle, using a combination of sensors such as gyros, magnetometers, barometers, ultrasonic sensors, GPS, and an FPV camera. www.ecs.soton.ac.uk ECS Open Day Schedule Degree Programmes 10:00 10:30 11:00 Overview of Computing Overview of Electronic & Electrical degrees 11:30 Meet and talk to our students 12:00 12:30 13:00 13:30 14:00 14:30 Overview of Computing Overview of Electronic & Electrical degrees Meet and talk to our students All degree programmes Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Room 4025, Building 53 (Mountbatten) Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Computer Lab tour and demos Web Science talk High Voltage Lab tour Room 1257, Building 53 (Mountbatten Building) Room 1257, Building 53 (Mountbatten Building) Careers talk Computer Lab tour and demos Venue Building 52 (Turner Sims Concert Hall) Drop-in session Talk to an admissions tutor and visit careers stand Refreshments available between 12:00 noon and 13:30 Reception, Building 53 (Mountbatten Building) Room 4025, Building 53 (Mountbatten) Power Academy & UK-ESF Scholarships Electrical Engineering Electromechanical Engieering Electronic Engineering Combined Electrical & Electronic Engineering 15:30 Meet and talk to our students Careers talk Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology in Organisations Web Science 15:00 Power Academy & UK-ESF Scholarships Robotics & Control Lab tour Robotics & Control Lab tour High Voltage Lab tour High Voltage Lab tour Room 2025, Level 2, Building 16 Room 2025, Level 2, Building 16 High Voltage Lab tour Entrance to Foyer, Building 20 (High Voltage Lab) Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic & photonic cleanroom tour Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Reception, Building 53 (Mountbatten Building) Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Electronic Teaching Lab tour and demos Reception, Building 53 (Mountbatten Building) Safety Notice: Visitors should appreciate that this is a working research environment.
