He will be leading the expansion of the firmʹs Financial Institutions practice in the U.S. and be based in the firmʹs New York office. Peter has 20 years of experience covering financial services firms as an investment banker and strategy consultant. He joins us from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (ʺKBWʺ), where he spent the last 11 years, leading their efforts in the Diversified Financials and Insurance sectors. Throughout his career, he has specialized in providing merger and acquisition advisory and debt, mezzanine and equity capital raising services for his financial institutions clients, and has also provided advisory services for regulatory bodies, creditor committees and other related parties. Most recently at KBW within the Diversified Finance Group for the past four years, Peter headed the firmʹs efforts across several sub‐sectors, including broker/dealers, market structure firms, trust and custody banks, alternative asset managers and financial technology firms. Peter was also selected to lead the firmʹs interactions with financial sponsors through the firmʹs Financial Sponsors Advisory Group. Previously, as Managing Director within KBWʹs Insurance Group, Peter advised on behalf of traditional and alternative asset managers, insurance brokers, non‐risk‐bearing technology and service companies, life/health, specialty and property/casualty insurers. Prior to joining KBW in 2003, Peter was employed at Fox‐Pitt, Kelton and Lazard Frères & Co., where he advised on merger and acquisition transactions, principally in the securities brokerage, market structure and asset management sectors. He earned his B.A. from Amherst College and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. (end)
