Background – FL300
The Commercial idea of using Light-Emitting-Diodes
in greenhouses were founded in Fionia Lighting back
in 2004, and until now the main focus has been
commercial greenhouse applications.
With the well-documented FL300 fixture as starting
point, a research study done together with Osram
Opto Semiconductors led to the product launch of
FL300 in 2012.
The FL300 has been tested around the world in
several different applications.

The company Fionia Lighting are owned by large
Danish companies with documented stability and
with innovation as a registered trademark.
The owners comprise of an energy company, a
greenhouse, the ministry, an industrial partner and
the founders.

The Greenhouse of PKM is one of the largest producers
of the flower Campanula and their site in Denmark is
close to 200.000 m2.
They have been trialing LEDs for five years now, and
have for two light seasons grown quality A flowers under
224 fixtures in unit 11:

In paralel with the large scale experiment we had a
similar independent trial together with The university of
Aarhus. In their trial area they grew roses and
Campanula in a 90 m2 cell.

The Paarp division of Swedeponic are mainly growing
basil, dild and parsley.
In the winter season of 2012/2013 we grew basil in a
400 m2 cell and comparing basil grown under standard
production facilities.
