The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Providing product selection and application support • Providing, maintaining and delivering the Tool kit and presentations required for securing customer specifications and approvals • Providing hydraulic assistance and support for water and wastewater systems with particular expertise in dams, reservoirs, pumping stations, treatment plants and transmission pipelines • Establishing product enhancement and product development opportunities • Supporting the design team in the development and introduction of new products to market Successful applicants will have: • a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar product support role • good knowledge of engineering fundamentals including materials, design & FEA • excellent communication skills Applicants will be expected to have: • A relevant engineering degree as a minimum (Class 2:1) • Preferably a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Status. Support with the planning and implementation of budgets for all customers To provide an excellent service to customers and the AVK regions ensuring any requests/complaints are dealt with quickly and efficiently. To build close working relationships with AVK companies throughout the world and support their activities to help them grow the sales of GVL Automatic Control Valves To achieve sales with AVK Sales Companies & UK based customers and support GVL External facing UK Sales and International Product Managers to grow the sales of GVL Automatic Control Valves To ensure that cultural differences between oversees countries and the UK are recognised and that we respect them in our deliveries To prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner. To ensure GVL’s project lists (Project Trackers) are updated at all times so we can approach project opportunities pro actively – and so the department/management has updated information on developments within the specific projects. For 3rd of each month draw up a list for forecast orders making sure we plan the right capacity in our factory and with our supply chain.
